Money Issued by UK & JP Gov.
Between 1886 and 1948, colonial governments ruled this golden land. And
these administrations issued paper-money for use within the country.

This one below could most probably be the first paper-money issed and
used in Myanmar. Note the red print on the front, which reads "Military
Administration of Burma. Legal tender in Burma only." The value of this note is not
even printed in Myanmar on the back. Compare with 5-Rupee note with the value printed in
Myanmar alphabet.

Note how the British has controlled the economy and circulation of money. As this text,
"Legal tender in Burma only", is printed on it, no one can use this Rupee even
in India.)
